Castor oil is a type of vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of the tropical plant Ricinus the common.
It is a thick oil, almost odorless and has a pale yellow hue.
Castor oil is rich in fatty acids (especially ricinoleic acid) but also in linoleic and oleic, as well as vitamin E. It is also particularly rich in Omega-9 fatty acids.
The main component of castor oil (up to 95% content), Ricinoleic Acid, has remarkable anti-inflammatory properties, while at the same time it also exhibits an analgesic effect.
Herbalists and doctors of antiquity refer to its medicinal properties, for the treatment of skin problems but also for digestive problems, hemorrhoids and gallstones. It was also used as a laxative.

-It is considered effective for the treatment of arthritis.

-It is an excellent massage oil for sore muscles and joints.
